We will begin taking submissions to the H. Gene Murtha Memoria Senryu Contest! Check out the contest guidelines HERE and PLEASE PAY ATTENTION THE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES!!! Especially the email address and the submission window!

“Send  haibun that tries something completely different, that takes the form to a new level, that experiments, that plays into and with the senryu concept!”
Unpublished but previously published considered if first pub. credit included in info to editor. LIMIT THREE Haibun per submission.
Publication is called “Failed Haiku -A Senryu Journal” so haibun must contain only senryu, not haiku. Previously published senryu ok in the haibun if noted to the editor.
Haiga haibun will also be considered.

This issue, guest edited by Shloka Shankar, is now up for your viewing!!! There are 47 haiga by some astoundingly good haijin! I am so impressed that Shloka could FAIL so superbly! She has taken failure to a whole new level. Sincerely thank her for find job editing FH this month. And keep your eyes on SONIC BOOM also!

NEXT month the Guest Editor will be Roberta Beary, and the focus of the issue will be HAIBUN! I will be posting the submission guides in a few days, please WAIT before submitting.

News!!!

I have lined up six ‘guest editors’ for the rest of this year! Mor news later, but each will have their own special take on submission and niches in the Senryuish genre. I will be posting complete information in the new issue on March 1! Stay tuned.
