    Hello — I clicked on the link to read her memorial… but, link doesn’t work; leads to a general link but, I don’t readily see how to navigate to the memorial page…. anyways, thank you for the contest! You are so encouraging, supportive, welcoming.

    Still, I real feel like, no matter how much i practice, write, read, I’m just not getting ‘it; whatever the ‘it’ is that I’m not getting; or missing. Yet, even in my unknowingness I have the nerve to read a published haiku and think, “oh that doesn’t even sound like haiku” — but who am I to judge? Seems so simple and yet not. But, I keep-on-keeping-on, for some disturbed reason. And that’s why I like you people. “Failed haiku” describes how I feel perfectly. ~ thank you ~ Anne *** washing dishes with the stinky sponge … wrinkled fingertips
