Issue 86 is Here

A giant thank you to Michael Henry Lee for guest editing this massive issue on the theme of Time. Thank you to everyone who submitted and for making Failed Haiku great. Bryan will return as editor for the next issue which will have open submissions (no theme).

There’s been an edit error in Issue 86 of failed haiku, hoping this can be corrected. Page 43 lists the last two poems as authored by Vincenzo Adamo, when they are in fact mine. They are:

dinnertime whether we’re hungry or not

    and

    missing gnomon
    a lizard stretches
    across midday

The above poems were submitted on 11th January, 2023. My name, Ingrid Baluchi, does not appear on the cast list for the above issue.

Similarly, if it is not way too late, the haiga attributed to Ingrid Jones is actually mine, with credit for photograph to Tammie Baluch (with no final ‘i’). This is to be found in Issue 46, page 58, submitted 22nd September, 2019, and our names do not appear in the cast list there either.

Would it be asking too much to make those changes? I would be most grateful.
    All the best,
    Ingrid Baluchi

The second poem by Ramund Ro made me look up the word “qipao”. I immediately recognized the dress as one I have always thought was particularly beautiful. Along with the pictures was a discussion of the history of the dress. The rich and complex heritage expressed by this senryu floors me.
